Vietnam-Oman Investment (VOI) Sets an Outstanding Model for Bilateral Cooperation
(Chinhphu.vn) - On October 20th, amidst a series of activities during his diplomatic mission to Saudi Arabia and participation in the prestigious ASEAN-GCC Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a meeting with His Excellency Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister of Oman.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended his heartfelt commendation for the substantial strides made in the collaboration between Vietnam and Oman in recent times. He accentuated the resounding success of the Vietnam Oman Investment (VOI - A Joint Venture operating in Vietnam, backed by the Oman Investment Authority, OIA, and the State Capital Investment Corporation of Vietnam, SCIC) as an emblematic paradigm of investment collaboration between Vietnam and nations within the Gulf region. He proffered a compelling proposal for the Fund's contemplation, advocating for its expansion of operational activities within Vietnam.
In the foreseeable future, the Prime Minister earnestly suggested both parties perpetuate their efforts to augment the exchange of delegations at various echelons. He emphasized the imperative to enhance the efficiency of bilateral cooperative mechanisms, such as joint committees and political consultations, with the overarching objective of endowing the bilateral relationship with greater depth and efficacy. Furthermore, he postulated that both sides should continue to advance collaborative initiatives in the realm of commerce, by forging an environment conducive to reciprocal market access for goods and services. This, he posited, would usher in a momentous leap in the burgeon of bilateral trade.

His Excellency Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister of Oman, underscored Oman's unwavering commitment to amplifying cooperation with Vietnam on all fronts, with a particular emphasis on economic and investment arenas.
He concurred to facilitate propitious conditions and explore the prospect of unlocking markets for the respective flagship products of each nation. In addition, he assented to a reinforced collaboration in the burgeoning Halal industry, with the overarching objective of optimizing the operational efficacy of the Vietnam Oman Investment (VOI).

Both parties were in unison regarding the imperativeness of broadening collaborative prospects within the ambit of education. They also acknowledged the exigency of fostering intergenerational exchanges.
